Clara vom Lance
We love this beautiful girl! Clara, (daughter of our now retired Zita) turned 6 in May 2025. She is the best of friends with her sister Sabine, has the sweetest disposition, and is fiercely protective of her family. She adorns the most luxurious coat with a stunning deep, rich pigment. Clara has produced some stunning puppies in her previous litters (both stock and long coats) A silly trait of this girl is her ability to howl like a wolf with her nose to the sky at night when she hears the resident coyotes!
Clara was recently bred to the handsome V Peter di Villa Rostom IGP2 and delivered 1 male and 1 female on October 10, 2025. She is now retired as this was her final litter

Sabine vom Lance
Our beautiful Sabine, daughter of our Zita, turned 4 in April 2025. She is quite the "Daddy's girl," with a high drive, and is as quick as can be! She is the tallest at the withers of our 5 girls, and we thoroughly enjoy this young female who hails from a very impressive pedigree with multiple World Siegers on both her maternal and paternal side. Sabine's 2024 litter with
V Bob dell Alto Ofanto IGP 1 produced 9 gorgeous puppies whelped on 9/28/24. 5 boys and 4 girls, (4 of which were long coats)

Hildegarde vom Lance
"Hildy"
Where do I start with describing this happy 2 year old? Have you ever heard the phrase, "Sometimes you pick the dog, and sometimes the dog picks you?" Hildy was definitely that girl. While we were considering keeping a female stock coat from our 2023 breedings, we had not decided on whether it would be a daughter from our Clara or Sabine. As the litters grew, and the 8 female puppies began to show their personalities, we narrowed it down to our top 3.
(a good problem to have)
Time went by, and we spent countless hours evaluating the girls' temperament, drive, looks, etc. I would see something about one that I liked, then Mr. Lance would point out a strong point. Back and forth, side by side, more hours, more observations and still we could not decide. All three had their health checks at our Veterinarian, and all 3 looked great. I took video clips of each them and went frame by frame watching them and still no determining factor among the 3.
Finally it was coming down to the time for our families to pick their new puppies, and we still could not make a decision (indecisiveness is not in our personalities)
I sat with them at night after everyone was in bed. Each would come say hello, then just go back to sleep. Either the second or third night, Hildy just crawled up on my lap, looked at me to let me know that she would not be leaving. Hildy picked us, and I could not be happier about this very special daughter of Clara's.
Hildy surely is handful with a very high drive and a heart of gold. She is so smart and is progressing well in obedience. We adore this little girl who was named after my maternal grandmother from Berlin, whom I never met before her passing.
Hildy’s planned first breeding will be Feb/March 2026 with V Peter Villa Rostem IGP2

SG Zita vom Lance
Zita is the half sister of Sunny, and has
proven to hold her own in the show ring as well as being quite the obedient pup. She is definitely our resident guard dog, fiercely protecting our property from anyone who does not belong. Her favorite human is without a doubt our daughter Sierra.
Zita earned her SG rating at the 2017 Southwest Regional Conformation Show in Arizona by German Koermeister Bernd Weber and again in the SW Regional Show in November 2019.
Zita has proven to be an excellent mother to the outstanding puppies she has produced. Just take a look at her daughters Clara and Sabine vom Lance and granddaughter Hildy. Now retired, Zita enjoys her Grandmother duties with the puppies.

SG Sonnenschein vom Lance
"Sunny"
At almost 10 years old, “Aunt Sunny" is the matriarch around here and she definitely knows it. She is incredibly loyal and is as smart as can be. Sunny can be found pretty much anywhere I am (she's my shadow) and enjoys rides in the truck, (she truly believes she should go everywhere we go) swimming in our pool, and chasing squirrels and rabbits through our orchard.
Sunny has never been able to have puppies of her own, yet plays an integral part in the raising of each and every puppy born here. She is simply amazing to watch with the puppies. Her interactions with them allow our new Mamas to have a little break from the littles... even if only for a bit of time. She may express a ferocious growl with the pups (typically when they deserve it) but doesn't have a mean bone in her body. This girl is simply amazing and do we ever love her!
